RIP: Joe Paterno, the legendary coach of Penn State’s Nittany Lions football team, passed away today of lung cancer. He was 85.

I had the pleasure of meeting Joe Paterno while I was at a summer music camp in high school.  He took 15 minutes of his time to talk to a random group of high school kids simply because we held a door for him. At the end of our chat he shook each of our hands. It was one of the highlights of my life. Meeting him in person made it possible to see how nice of a man he truly was and i am blessed to have that memory.

He’s such a nice guy that he covered up child rape. Real chill dude.

He didn’t see the rape. You seem to forget that it was McQueery who actually saw it and did nothing to stop it. When Joe found out he reported it. His superiors didn’t do anything to stop it.  But i wouldn’t expect an ignorant person like you to understand this. Real chill slamming the memory of a dead man.

RIP: Joe Paterno, the legendary coach of Penn State’s Nittany Lions football team, passed away today of lung cancer. He was 85.
“It is with great sadness that we announce that Joe Paterno passed away earlier today,” said his family in a statement. “His loss leaves a void in our lives that will never be filled.”
Paterno — best known as JoePa — served as head coach at Penn State for 46 years, leading the Lions to 409 victories — the most by a single college football coach.
His final days at Penn State were sadly marred by the child sexual abuse scandal of former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky, and allegations that Paterno didn’t do enough to notify the authorities upon learning of the now-infamous “shower incident” between Sandusky and a 10-year-old boy.
Paterno was dismissed by the Board of Trustees on November 9th. He later called the scandal “one of the great sorrows of my life,” and admitted that he should have done more.
Prior to the official confirmation of his passing, a false death report by Penn State student news website Onward State spread online after being picked up by CBS Sports. It was quickly retracted — though not quickly enough — and Onward State’s managing editor, Devon Edwards, announced his resignation.

Resident Evil 6 Official Trailer

Yes, that says Resident Evil 6. It seems all these leaks and teasers were all actually true, go figure. Leon and Chris are both in a main RE title for the first time, and they are indeed slating it for a November 20, release of this year. It looks like Capcom is trying something new, but also giving what fans wanted for years: a return to originality. Let’s hope it stays this way. Check it out!

(Not So) Shocking News of the Day: Paula Deen is getting ready to drop a bombshell on the butter-loving world: She has Type 2 diabetes.
Sources who spoke with The Daily say Deen has had the disease for some time, despite continuing to push high-fat, high-calorie foods through her cooking programs and products.
According to the insiders, Deen has negotiated a multimillion-dollar spokesperson deal with Novartis, the pharmaceutical company that manufactures her diabetes medication.
“Paula Deen is going to have to reposition herself now that she has diabetes,” one source told Flash. “She’s going to have to start cooking healthier recipes. She can’t keep pushing mac and cheese and deep-fried Twinkies when she is hawking a diabetes drug.”
